Application Re-Engineering

Client's Challenge

Modulant has provided a major Federal Government agency with software design and development services to support re-engineering of major applications that are used to process IT asset inspections and service requests for multiple, worldwide locations.  These applications, originally created 10 years previously, had proved difficult to maintain, to scale to increased usage demands, and to operate in modern distributed environment.

Solution

Modulant’s software development teams have a successful track record of re-engineering legacy applications to enable improved integration and interoperability with other client systems while providing a seamless transition for users.  In this project, all software development is performed using the .NET 4.0 Framework, ASP.NET and C# with a SQL Server 2008 R2 database and MS Reporting Services.  The legacy systems have been used as primary source of functional requirements to ensure that the client’s processes, workflows, and data are fully supported by the replacement systems.

Result

Modulant’s full life-cycle support for software development ensures that all client needs and requirements are addressed while enabling a scalable, sustainable solution built using industry-standard framework and components.  The re-engineered applications provide a robust, centralized, secure repository for data and forensic analysis in support of the client’s IT asset management requirements.
