Project Manager
Position Overview
Serve as the project manager and institute project management processes for existing maintenance of a software development project. Display leadership and presentation skills and perform training, assessment, and supervise projects and processes. Coordinate and communicate with the client and project team. Conduct joint application design and development sessions with client resources for requirements. Manage the project actively and implement changes when necessary.
Required Skills
- Experience with IT systems development involving requirements and testing
- Knowledge of Software Development Lifecycle Management activities
- Knowledge of Project Management Best Practices
- Knowledge of Rational tools desirable
- Familiarity with CMMI compliance
- Knowledge of Contract and Delivery Order processing
- Knowledge of Standard Contract Deliverables and Submission Requirements
- Budget forecasting, planning and reporting
- Experience with establishing Project Management monitoring and control in regards to cost performance and schedule
- Experience with establishing Risk Management processes
- Possession of excellent leadership skills
- Possession of excellent communication skills
- PMP highly desirable
Required Degree/Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in a Computer Science or Management or related field
- 2-5 years of experience with project management on IT projects
