Oracle Database Administrator
Position Overview
We are currently seeking a strong Oracle DBA with 3-5 years practical experience to support new and existing applications. In this role you will serve as the sole Oracle DBA for the project. This position requires depth of experience and the ability to work independently to achieve success.
Required Skills
Knowledge of and capability to perform:
- User Administration
- Set up and maintenance of Oracle Recovery Manager (RMAN)
- Write back-up scripts
- Hot back-ups
- Recover data
- Create instances of Oracle databases
- Monitor performance and fine tune database configuration
- Install Oracle patches and releases
- Migrate older versions of Oracle databases to 10g
- Transport schemas and data from test environment to production
- Schema reviews with software developers
- Schema design and normalization
Required Degree/Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
- 3-5 years practical experience
