Interface Developer - IE III [Information Engineer III]
Position Overview
The Java Developer will have 3-5 years practical experience and demonstrated ability to develop JAVA web applications with MS SQL Server. This developer will support new and existing applications for SPAWAR Systems Center, Charleston.
Required Skills
- Thorough understanding of the Java language and libraries (5 years)
- Strong knowledge of Java web application design and implementation using JSPs and Servlets. (4 years)
- Solid object-oriented analysis and design skills (3 years)
- Web services
a. Experience with available Java web service API's, especially Axis.
b. Knowledge of XML, XSL and XPATH (1 year)
c. Conceptual understanding of SOAP, WSDL and UDDI. - Experience with deploying, configuring, and troubleshooting Java web applications using application servers such as Weblogic and Tomcat.
- Experience with MS SQL Server including Transact-SQL, stored procedures, and DTS (2 years)
- Ability to perform tasks supporting the complete application life cycle, including requirements gathering, analysis, design, coding, testing, implementation and documentation.
- Knowledgeable with .NET and C#
- Knowledgeable with open-source Java libraries such as Struts, Hibernate, Castor, Axis, and Spring.
Required Degree/Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science
- Currently possess or can obtain a government Secret Clearance.
