Help Desk Engineer
Position Overview
Modulant, a leading software products and services company that recognizes performance and innovation, is looking for an experienced Help Desk Engineer who will be responsible for providing quality desktop support to internal end users.
Responsibilities:

Under limited supervision, provide quality desktop support to internal end users, including support for hardware, printing, applications, and telephone systems.

Troubleshoot issues that arise with the desktop environment and develop solutions to those issues.
- Provide visibility on assets inventory.
- Document processes and procedures as required.
- Have understanding of DNS, DHCP and Active Directory.
- Basic Understanding of Hardware consisting of Switches, Routers, Firewalls and Server’s running Windows 2003 Environment.
Required Skills

Excellent knowledge of Windows XP Professional, Microsoft Office, common desktop applications, and PC troubleshooting.
- Able to handle multiple projects and assignments in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail.
- Effective oral and written communication skills.
- Must be able to produce clear and concise written documentation for technical and non-technical audiences.
- Must be physically able to lift and move existing and new PC system components. (i.e. Monitors, Desktops, and Printers).
- Knowledge of basic networking, Active Directory, Group Policy Objects, Software Packaging, SQL Server.
- Should be pursing MCSE or MCSA certification.
- A+, Net+ or MCP certification a Plus.
Required Degree/Experience
The position requires an Associate or undergraduate degree in a related field and 2-3 years experience in desktop support.
